Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.
Grading is based on visual inspection.
New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I grade a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played. I use the eBay grading category to describe the cover condition.

- This is a First Pressing of an Arista Records Promotional copy of the original 1984 release.
- This copy has never been played.
- The cut corner lower right indicates this was a Promo.
- The cover has tight seams and shows no wear. There is some moisture damage at the bottom of the back cover.
- While Grand Master Flash's "The Message" is known as the first social commentary hit Rap single, the late, great Gil Scott-Heron's "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" from 1975 is widely acclaimed as the first social commentary rap song.
- This is a one-owner that the Seller, who was an Arista label rep, got new in 1984. It has been in storage for 41 years.
