Description
Gil's Guests Gile Melle Quartet + Guests = Gil Melle Septets Prestige 7063 mono LP. Original Deep groove pressing with yellow fireworks label, 446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C. address, and RVG on the trail-off wax. Flat-edge pressing with no groove guard. Sidemen are Art Farmer, Hal McKusick, Julius Watkins, Joe Cinderella, Vinnie Burke, Edmund Thigpen, Kenny Dorham, and Don Butterfield. Tunes are: Block Island\Tomorrow\Soudan\Still Life\Sixpence\Ghengis.
Condition - Grading is Visual Under Bright Light
Cover is a very strong VG+. The front cover graphics are beautiful and vivid. A touch of wear on the corners. The seams are nuce with a couple of very small spots of wear, no splits/ The back cover slick is nice and bright with some very light surface wear, overall quite clean. "Printed and Packaged by GEM Albums, Inc. N.Y." on the bottom right corner. A very pretty example of this cover.
LP is a very strong VG+ with a few hairlines, nothing feelable or serious. Labels are beautiful with a few light spindle marks visible under bright angled light. A beautiful example of this rare and desireable early Prestige.
Overall not perfect or NM but not all that far away, a very nice copy of a rare jazz LP. This copy should make most collectors very happy. You will not see many nicer. Grading
Grading is SS (still sealed), NM, VG+, VG. The myriad of grading systems on Ebay is a good indicator of the subjective nature of grading. In my opinion NM is close to perfect with one or two very minor flaws, VG+ is above average and collectable and VG is average used condition but probably the best choice for playing. I'm a collector and try to describe LPs as accurately as possible, the way I would want them described to me. The pictures should at least give a good indication of the condition of the covers and labels. Please see my seller feedback for comments on my grading. If you don't agree with how I'm calling a record that is your privilege but with all respect please don't bid.
Packaging
LP will be shipped outside of jacket in record bag and boxed for protection using an LP shipping box with cardboard stiffeners.
Terms and Payment
Low starting price and no reserve. Five day auction. Paypal only. Payment must be made within 48 hours of auction close or seven days for other forms of payment unless other arragements are made before end of auction.
Shipping and Insurance
I don't profit from shipping. If an overage occurs I will refund the difference.
US
$4.00 Priority mail with free delivery confirmation in US. Insurance is optional but I cannot be responsible for uninsured shipments.
International
Shipping methods are First Class or Priority International. First Class cannot be tracked. Please see shipping calculator for cost.

Refund Policy
I stand behind what I sell, LP may be returned in original condition for a full refund minus return shipping costs if I am notified within three days of receipt of LP. No rebates if you keep the LP. I don't end auctions early, there is no Buy It Now price, emails asking for a BIK price will be ignored. Good luck!
