Description
For sale is the Ginger Wildheart 555% triple LP (12 inch record) in sealed, unopened state. The album is part of a limited edition LP run of 1,000 units worldwide that was only available to pledgers in the wildly successful Pledge Music fan-funded campaign for this album to be made. The artwork is nothing short of spectacular, and the albums themselves are individually coloured red, white and blue. The original cost of the triple LP to pledgers was 40 pounds, the starting bid price here.
Whilst the artwork is something to behold, the audio treats within are something else again. There are 30 songs across the triple LP, and not a dud one amongst them.
The 30-track LP and CD editions of this album are deleted, and were so upon their release after only being available to purchase through the associated pledge campaign.
For more information on the songs, you should visit Amazon UK and read the 100+ 5-star reviews for the album that the triple was distilled down to, called '100%'. Bear in mind that those are only 12 songs of the 30 that were voted for inclusion on the 'commercial' release (100%) by fans. The majority of the other 18 tracks that are included on here would make an equally attractive 12 track album in their own right.
If you are a fan of Ginger Wildheart, you know the man is an irrepressible force when it comes to quality songwriting. In my opinion (and that of many others) this may well be his best work yet.
Apart from all of that, this album is literally shaking up the record industry and funding model for artists. It is a groundbreaking album in terms of its songs, and the way it came to be. There is a real buzz generating about this album in the wider music community.
Time will tell, but this album may well be reflected on as an important part of modern music history. It will certainly be that in terms of Ginger Wildheart's history.
