Glenn Branca 1980 LESSON NUMBER ONE 12" 99 Records
Rare opportunity to acquire this first edition of Glenn Branca's vinyl debut on Ed Bahlman's 99 Records. Purchased new by Julian Cope from Bleecker Bob's in Manhattan, the item was immediately kept safe in a thick clear polythene bag, ensuring that the silvers, greys and blacks of the US heavyweight card outer retains a just-manufactured freshness. The disc itself has just been played through and displayed no problems except for a series of pops about two minutes from the end of side two's 12-minute epic. The pops lasted no more than 30 seconds. Side two was clean until the music's end at which time some crackles could be heard in the run out only. Many thanks for looking.
