Columbia Masterworks ML 5060. Original,6-Eye Monaural Disk. Stampers: 4A/3A. Gould's early and inimitable traversal of the Goldbergs for Columbia. Disc in excellent condition given its age and recording technology of the era. This copy easily rates to excellent with bright, clear, decent monaural sound throughout neatly conveying all of the curious details of Gould's path-breaking and quirky performance. Jacket also excellent to near mint with seams intact all round and only minor peeling of laminate surface near right edge. Inner, original, heavy-gauge cardboard sleeve carries second page of Gould's own extensive liner notes and also presents as near mint. A very fine playing copy of this superb performance and a disc vital to any serious classical record collection.
