Glenn Gould – Bach WELL-TEMPERED CLAVIER Book I Complete – Columbia 360 D3S-733 – 3LP 2-eye Box – VERY BEST!

To hear and remember Glenn Gould is to sit and witness his Bach. After all, it changed the way the world thought of the music, even if it did come from a man who appeared more than a little odd.

That said, who of us knew that this man of the keyboard, artist of every hour, interpreter of the higher math of music, would suddenly, at the age of 31, simply withdraw from public performance. (That’s it, sorry, bye-bye.)

As a result, many of those who thought Glenn Gould partially insane, now stepped out and said so. Some straight-out called him a “nut.”

But, as George Szell retorted: “Yeah, but that ‘nut’ was a genius!”

Come hear his WELL-TEMPERED Book I, Preludes and Fugues 1-24, the way they should be heard…from the original release, here in its clothbound red box without fault, all three records within should play near mint.

Absolutely, positively not to be missed.

For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
