Description
Late 70s, early 80s Manchester band Gods Gift were members of the legendary Manchester Musicians Collective that spawned Joy Division and The Fall. This single has 3 tracks - People, These Days and 925 and features the original line up of Steve Edwards (vocals), Stephen Murphy (guitar), Paul Leadbeater (drums) and Laura Plant (bass). Also playing bass on the record is Martine Hilton who went on to play with other Manchester cult band The Passage. The single is on the New Market label (named after the Newmarket Inn on Bolton Road, Pendlebury where singer Steve Edwards lived) The single is stamped on one side and is handwritten by the band on the other. This particular single has a cover that is in very good condition (very slight - almost un-noticeable yellowing, very, very slight creasing outside of the circumference of the disc and with no stains or blemishes (the pictures featured are the actual sleeve scans at 600dpi)). The disc itself is in mint condition and has never been played. The band subsequently had a number of member changes and were signed to Manchester's New Hormone Records. The band went on to have success in the Netherlands and recently had a CD released on Messthetics Records called Pathology. No reserve price of $70 has been placed on this item. Highest bidder wins!
