Original UK Track label stereo 1st press LP.
  The ninth Golden Earring album was released in July 1973 and features tracks recorded early in 1973. The band had been founded by school friends in Holland in 1961. By 1967 David Hay had joined the band as vocalist and they had signed to Dutch Polydor, releasing four albums in Holland. By 1970 their fifth album Eight Miles High was released in the UK and they began touring the UK & US, often supporting Led Zep and Jimi Hendrix. They broke into the mainstream with the single Radar Love in 1973, from Moontan their fifth UK album.

This is the original issue with the textured gatefold sleeve, the lyric insert and the earliest A-1 B-1 matrices and 1-1-1-4 1-1-3 stampers of the first presses.   The MacNeill Press Ltd textured matt gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some storage rubbing on the rear cover and some light rubbing on the inner cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain inner is intact, with some light discolouration and the lyric insert has some rubbing along one edge and is in VG+ condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with only one or two faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two light needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of one or two faint spindle markings.   The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief, low background noise during the run in grooves. Overall, a really great, loud & lively listen.   The matrix nos. are; 2406112, A-1 stamper 1-1-1-4, B-1 stamper 1-1-3. This is one of the early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1973 UK stereo issue of this album!
