Description
Vintage Goons 33 + 34 – two 10” BBC Transcription LPs + Continuity Sheets 1960.
This is a decent example of a two 10” BBC Transcription Service LPs that contain two complete Goon Show, along with both of their Continuity Sheets. The two records come as a ‘set’ / pair as one contains the two Part Ones of the shows and the other contains the two Part Twos. The main heading on the labels is Vintage Goons – and here are followed by the numbers 33 and 34; followed by the titles of the shows. The first record has part one of The Spectre of Tintagel on one side and The Personal Narrative on the other. The has part two of each of the programmes. (The sides have individual serial numbers 91703/4/5/6) Both of the records are in VG+ condition visually – mainly nice and shiny but each shows a handful of small marks that show that they have been played / handled a few times. And – when played there is some surface noise so I am grading them as VG. The labels state the duration of the shows (both over 29 minutes), and an expiry date of 4.4.60 is shown, which I guess indicates that they were pressed probably within a few weeks of that dateBoth of the records are housed in a single lined cover that is headed A BBC Programme. Tucked into the cover are the original two-page (for each show) Continuity Sheets for the radio announcers – stating the exact lengths of each side, and a transcript of the first and last words on each side. The sheets are in decent clean condition.

It is impossible to be an expert in all realms of collecting, and I am honestly representing this item to the best of my knowledge and ability. If the item has a fault then I have mentioned it. I ask that you read the description and examine the photos carefully. I also encourage you to ask any questions you may have during the auction to help clarify identification or condition, as I may inadvertently omit information that you as a collector feel is important.
I never use reproduction company covers - only genuine / vintage ones. As such - these may not be original to the record and only rarely will they be stunning, as - usually - they are between 40-60 years old. They may have writing or stickers on them, but will grade at least VG and upwards. And just occasionally - they are perfect! If by chance this is important to you - please ask about the specific sleeve pictured. Where I am not able to provide an original cover I use brand new plain paper covers.
I am not able to provide scans of paper items and I have no facility to record / copy any records.

TRACKING NUMBER. If an item sells for more than £40, (or for a package that has a total value of more than £40) it will need to be sent with a Tracking Number - the Royal Mail's International Tracked service. This costs an additional £5 and that price will be added so that both you - the Buyer - and myself are covered under the buyer protection policy.

I have opted not to sell to various countries due to various problems with 'lost' items in the past. I am in fact happy to sell items to anyone in any country.
