Description
Well here it is, another rare Canadian Folk psych classic. Gordon Lowe has adeep mournful voice that recalls Leonard Cohn meets Gordon Lightfoot, and the addition of Laurel Ward gives the album a Nancy Sinatra / Lee Hazlewood feel. From the mid to late 1960's on the Yorkville label, this is a collection of original folk tunes (Down child, Jenny's gone, Love is gone, Really Care etc) that have a decidely 'down' feel to them. Many of the harmonies are quite beautiful and sad. This record is starting to become quite the classic, and has garnered quite a following in Japan. Laurel went onto sing backgrounds for Anne Murray, Myles and Lenny, Bob Seger and Alice Cooper. The condition is very nice...
