SANTA CLAUS REPORTS
For McLendon Radio Stations
Here’s a record that really doesn’t turn up very often. It’s a one-sided LP that features cut-aways for radio stations to use the night before Christmas, which will give them some real sounding reports from stations all along the path of Santa’s sleigh as it comes down across Canada from the North Pole.
The McLendon stations that might have used this would have been his hometown station in Dallas: KLIF, , KOST in Los Angeles, WYNR (later WNUS) & WNUS-FM in Chicago, WWWW–FM in Detroit, KEEL in Shreveport, WAKY in Louisville, KABL in Oakland, KABL–FM in San Francisco, KILT in Houston, KTSA in San Antonio, and KELP in El Paso.
This album isn’t dated, but it was pressed by Monarch and bears number 3110, which would seem to put it out for use for Christmas of 1961.
