Description
This auction is for between 240 and 250 Gramophone records, 99% of them are 78 RPM.
Mostly HMV, but some Parlophone, Columbia and others.
These records were owned my Grandfather, who worked for the BBC at Brookmans Park, London in the 1950's. He also ran a record and electrical shop in Potters Bar and also Dovercourt Essex. He collected these records over many years, I guess between 1940 and 1965 ish, some are demonstration or sample "not for re sale" items which might be unusual.
The records have been in the family for more than fifty years, and have been stored in the original style cardboard record boxes for nearly all that period. Many of the records are in period cardboard or paper sleeves, some records may never have been played.
I have not tried any of these records because I do not have the equipment.

And so on for several boxes which are all together very heavy. I hope these can go to a good home after all these years and bring pleasure to someone.
Due to the weight and possibility of breakage in transit I am unwilling to post these items. So have marked as local collection only.
