Grand Funk Railroads 2nd album known as the red album authentic Capital Records US 1969 pressing SKAO-406.
There was a time when this band was the biggest band on the planet and it was because of this record that they were...This is one of the best hard rock records ever made! Check out “Inside Looking Out” or “Paranoid” and you’ll hear what I am talking/typing about.
Anyone who witnessed this band live in 1970 in particular knows just how great they were live in concert….They were the first band since The Beatles to play Shea Stadium, that's just how big they were….Led Zeppelin refused to be on the same bill with them,after playing with them on the same bill. The first time I saw them in April of 1970 my ears were ringing for four days.
I must say/ type a bit about the condition of this Grand Funk red albums in particular...These albums were played constantly and at the highest volume possible..So most of these records have been roughed up quite a bit....There’s a reason for it, it’s an incredible album.
The record grades Very Good + or better in parts there are several marks nothing deep and it’s priced accordingly.....It’s not perfect..But in a strange way, it’s not supposed to be...It ROCKS!
The gatefold record grades Very Good+ see tape on top and bottom of rear panel (see scans).
