Description
GRANICUS - Granicus Original RCA Dynaflex pressing, 1973 (RCA APL1-0321) Vinyl has high gloss, sounds nearly perfect - there is a bit of groove noise in places, but this is an RCA Dynaflex pressing from '73 so that is not surprising. This came from an "overflow" section of a very large collection, and I don't think this record ever got played before it came to me. I've been taking very good care of it for nearly 20 years. I have only played it a few times myself, and now it's time to let somebody else be the steward of Granicus. I can provide audio file samples on request (or I can add them to this listing, if I can remember how).
The jacket has some unfortunate writing in marker on the front and back. For the back, this was done on tape which you might be able to remove carefully with some diluted Goo Gone and a fingernail IF you are feeling adventurous. For me, it wasn't worth the risk of peeling the cover, because I think it looks just fine now although obviously not perfect.
Musically? Some scorching Midwest heavy psych with proggy flourishes here from this one-and-done band. Something like peak-era Uriah Heap but from Ohio, maybe?

My grading guide for the VINYL only. For jackets, I will usually just give descriptions of everything I see (and provide photos)
MINT: I reserve this for new, sealed records, which are presumed to be flawless (or at least exactly as they came out of the pressing plant!)
NEAR MINT: the highest grade I give to a used LP, plays like new. No marks, scuffs or scratches on the record.
EXCELLENT: Almost like new, maybe a mark or two on the record, but it should still sound like new. Vinyl has high gloss.
VERY GOOD + : A well-cared for specimen exhibiting some signs of wear on the record. Some marks, scuffs or light surface scratches. May have surface noise but no skips or constant ticks when playing.
VERY GOOD: Well worn record, has scratches, ticks, pops, and surface noise. Will play with fidelity, but background noise will be present.I do shipping discounts on multiple items, just request an invoice!
