Greatest Recordings of the Big Band Era-Franklin Mint Red Vinyl

This collection was issued by the Franklin Mint in 1981 to create the most complete collection of big band recordings issued in one set. Many of the recordings have been unavailable for years; others are hard to find recordings of early radio broadcasts while others only exist on 78’s. Artists represented include Glenn Miller, Harry James, Duke Ellington, Tommy Dorsey, Woody Herman, Andy Kirk, Jimmy Dorsey, Ted Lewis, Les Elgart, Gene Krupa, Red Nichols and many more.

Each hardbound album holds 2 LP records and a detailed booklet describing the artists and their music. The records were produced to the highest standards and pressed into archive quality red vinyl.

The records are in near mint condition and include records 1-48, stored in 24 individual boxes (eleven of the sets are still sealed). Set 49/50 is missing from this collection. The complete original collection consists of 50 records.

Records will be mailed in three separate boxes. Total weight is 48 pounds. Can be picked up in Northern California.

Feedback will be posted after buyer receives item and leaves feedback
