Matrix Pathe 105534-A1
Acropolis M-25103 (1 12” 2s. 78 rpm acoustic) Recorded September, 1924
Greek text in label scans.
The record is in E+ condition with no visible scratches or scuffs but has a light thumping pressing bubble, maybe 8 times. Noise from the Pathe master cylinder is clearly audible in quiet passages. The sleeve is intact but has small tears at the top and is yellowing.
This is the label of the Greek National Opera Company which was touring the U.S. in the fall of 1924 and is one of the c. 35 records they made that September in New York. They bear Pathe matrix numbers and were custom recordings rather than also being issued by Pathe.. (Thanks to George Koussourisas and Dick Spottswood.)
