Description
Green Bullfrog "Green Bullfrog"
This is an original US vinyl pressing on Decca 75269 from 1971. This was their only album. It has been reissued, but this is an original. The original is almost impossible to find without ring wear.
It was recorded between February and May 1971 in England. It was a studio project organized by Derek Lawrence. The contibuting artist were given funny names on the back cover. Here are the actual players : Drums : Speedy ( Ian Paice of Deep Purple), Bass : Sleepy (Chas Hodges), Piano & Organ : Bevy (Tony Ashton) , Piano : Sorry ( Matthew Fisher of Procol Harum ), Guitar : Boots ( Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple), Guitar : Pinta ( Albert Lee on Head Hands And Feet), Guitar : The Boss (Big Jim Sullivan ), Guitar : The Vicar (Rod Alexander), and Vocals : Jordan ( Earl Jordan ).
Every song is good. They cover Elvis Presley, Lloyd Price, Joe South, and other early classics. All songs have vocals except for 'Bullfrog', which is an amazing instrumental and lasts for 7:15 !!!
Overall Condition is : Cover is M- / Record is M
The cover is Mint minus with no ring wear, no writing , and no seam splits. There is a small bump on the top right corner and a minor kink on the left spine. There is a 'Sample Copy' sticker on the back cover (which is very common). The vinyl looks mint and it plays mint. There is a slight dish warp, but it plays perfect !! When you play side two you can see it a little. The labels are perfect with no spindle marks. The record comes in a Decca Records inner sleeve.
The songs are : My Baby Left Me, Makin' Time, Lawdy Miss Clawdy, Bullfrog, I Want You, I'm A Free Man, Walk A Mike In My
Shoes, and Lovin' You Is Good For Me Baby.
