Description
Peter Green - The End of the Game. Reprise RS6436, original orange label pressing, released in 1970. Cover is VG+ with just a little light surface, edge and corner wear. Vinyl is EX- with light hairline scuffs; plays great. Includes original inner dust sleeve, in EX- condition. The Fleetwood Mac founder's first solo album, it received decidedly mixed reviews and is desirable today mostly for its relative rarity.
From AllMusic: The directionless jamming on The End of the Game, the first solo release by Peter Green, is just what you'd expect from someone as psychologically messed up as he was when he cut it. He still plays wicked guitar, and sounds much like Jimi Hendrix in spots, but without Hendrix's vision. In fact, there's no coherent vision at all on this record. None of the musicians could have enjoyed themselves in spite of the opportunity to play with Green. It's drivel, from an immensely talented guitarist. Sad. (It's not THAT bad!)
Grading: Cover/vinyl. All LPs are conservatively graded visually. Play graded if questionable marks are perceived in the visual grading. Vinyl will be graded from Fair to Near Mint with plus (+) or (-) gradations, as defined below. Any cover wear will be described in detail.
Near Mint (NM) - Like new, but not perfect (unless sealed).
Excellent (EX) - Light hairline scuffs that do not affect play.
Very Good (VG) - All original gloss, but with a few more hairline scratches and scuffs that do not materially affect play.
Good (G) - Lots of scuffs and light scratches that are audible in the play back; occasional hiss, clicks, and pops will be heard, but the LP still plays all the way through and the background noise does not overwhelm the listening experience.
Fair (F) - LP is a "filler" copy for your collection while you seek out a nicer copy; will have lots of background noise and may even skip.
