This is a sealed brand new copy of the classic LP performed by the Atrium Musicae de Madrid, led by Gregorio Paniagua "La Folia" (Spanish Folias).
Audiophile quality recording of Spanish "Folias" (Crazy Dances, a musical form first mentioned 1505) with ancient and modern instruments by this legendary Spanish ensemble.

This rare record was Recommended in the  The Absolute Sound.

Harmonia Mundi France, gatefold cover with glossy covers, French pressing. Released in 1982.
This record was purchased in the early 1980s and is an early, if not original, pressing.

Cover is excellent, not discolored, with slight indentation on front cover from storage over the years.

One of the best sounding LP’s ever released. A favorite of TAS and Arthur Salvatore’s Supreme Recording List.  One of Mr. Salvatore’s all-time top 25 ever “The Divinity” LP’s. Must be heard to be believed. To quote Mr. Salvatore about this LP, “It excels in every sonic parameter. It is very transparent, immediate, clean, natural and dynamic. The sound stage is large and the sound-floor is extremely low, allowing every last detail to be heard; including the harmonic structure and decay, tonal and dynamic complexity etc. This LP was a top contender for the designation of the finest "ancient music."

This is a rare copy, especially still sealed. Please note that all French Harmonia Mundi LPs of this era were NOT shrink wrapped like U.S. LPs, but rather are packaged in heavy plastic sleeves open on one end. I mention this because a recent buyer thought his "new" LP was actually "used." This is how they were packaged. The LP has been in my possession since the 1980s and I know that it has never been played.
