Description
🎧 Grouper | A I A: Alien Observer | Kranky / Yellow Electric | 2019 | LP (12") | Ambient / Experimental
A I A: Alien Observer is one half of Grouper’s long-form ambient work A I A, issued by Kranky in collaboration with Yellow Electric. This release presents the more melodic, drifting counterpart to Dream Loss, focusing on slow harmonic movement, tape-softened textures, and nocturnal space.
Originally composed in 2011 and later issued on vinyl in 2019, the album reflects Liz Harris’ stripped-back ambient language: hushed melodies, blurred tones, and a sense of suspended time rather than conventional song structure.
This copy is complete with the double-sided picture insert, separate track-listing sheet, and the bookmark-style art card. The outer sleeve remains housed in its original resealable plastic with the barcode sticker still attached.
🎶 Tracklist
- A1. Moon Is Sharp
- A2. Alien Observer
- A3. Vapor Trails
- B1. She Loves Me That Way (Second Heart Tone)
- B2. Mary, On The Wall (For Bette Jackson)

✨ Condition (plain-English)
Vinyl: Visually near mint — clean, glossy surfaces with no obvious marks under inspection. Not play-tested.
Sleeve: Near mint overall, still in original resealable outer with barcode sticker present. Inserts, art sheet, and bookmark card all included and in excellent condition.
📸 Photography note: Due to the resealable outer and protective sleeves, some reflections from lighting may appear in photos — these are reflections rather than marks.
