Description

Rare Beatles and Beach Boys on the National Guard radio show. This LP contains shows #145-148 which therefore includes the Beatles (Guard show #145) and the Beach Boys (Guard Show #146). These Guard Scene records are obviously rare so to own the one that contains the Beatles and Beach Boys is rarer still. These shows do not contain any new or different recordings, they simply play prerecorded songs over the radio show. But there is a bit of live interviews as the host Ed Baer talks with the Beatles in New York about the maharishi and the start of Apple records and talks with the Beach Boys about Good Vibrations topping the British charts. I feel that this record was produced in 1967 or 1968. The other two radio shows on the flip side are with the Temptations, Irish Rovers, and Righteous Brothers. The shows also contain infomercials supporting our National Guard troops.
Both the cover and vinyl are VG+. Vinyl shows some light scuffs but they don't affect the audio as I listened to all 30 minutes of the Beatles Beach Boys side.
