Guided by Voices "Bee Thousand" 12" LP - Scat Records (US)
This Guided by Voices LP record is out of print, and is in great condition. The record is pressed in black vinyl. It contains the great song "I am a scientist" in all it's audiophile glory. This is a wonderful album for any serious music collector. I received this as a gift played it once, but both the record and the sleeve are are in great condition.
Guided by Voices (often abbreviated as GBV) was an American indie rock band originating from Dayton, Ohio. Beginning with the band's formation in 1983, it made frequent personnel changes but always maintained the presence of principal songwriter Robert Pollard. Guided by Voices disbanded in 2004, though many of its former members remain musically involved in solo careers or other projects.
Noted at first for its lo-fi aesthetic and typically Portastudio four-tracks-to-cassette production methods, Guided by Voices' music revealed influences from post-British Invasion garage rock, psychedelic rock, progressive rock, punk rock and post-punk. The band also garnered much attention for its prolific output, with a seemingly endless stream of releases. Most songs are in the two-minute range, but many are even shorter; often they end abruptly or are intertwined with odd and homemade sound effects.

This is in response to a follow-up question from a bidder and I wanted to be very clear about these details so that the future buyer feels informed.
On the outside of the cardboard sleeve, in the bottom right corner on the back, it does appear that the matador emblem has been blacked out with a permanent marker. I acquired the record used. The vinyl is black. It says SCAT-35-1-A carved onto the record itself and on the label of the record. It also says OLE-084 and Master by TrueTone on the record itself.
