Throw the switch – it’s Rock n Roll time!

I am selling this record for my girlfriend, Kathy with a K, who tracked down bandmembers through phone listings, got them to send her some copies, sold them over radio station KUSF, and sent the money to the group. She wants you to know she deeply regrets to part with the record.

Numbered 243 — of the 500 original Guided by Voices Propeller records pressed in 1992.

“Front” cover features a card or photo of a man eating peas. Standard “back” cover minimally decorated.

The vinyl has been played, has no scratches and sounds perfect. There is one surface mark that is a manufacturing defect but makes NO SOUND – K believes this is common to several copies of the record.

Etched inner grooves say “Propeller Side A, Old Age / No Age” and “Propeller Side AA, Am Rep Tellegewe” (?). White label is colored with crayons “X” and “Y.” 

Kathy loves this record and it will be PACKAGED WITH CARE and SHIPPED IN A STURDY CARDBOARD MAILER. Insurance is urged.
No postal tragedy must befall this precious artifact.

For those who don’t know:

This record was originally released in 1992 on Rockathon Records in a limited edition of 500. Not so many of these LPs with unique and handmade covers, decorated by the band and friends, were actually sold to the public. You can check the history of the record and many of the songs on it in the Watch Me Jumpstart documentary, and there are two websites devoted to cataloging the 500 copies. According to one site, only 22% of the 500 have been located.
