Description

"G N' R Lies," also known as "Lies", is the second studio album by the American rock band Guns N' Roses, released in 1988. While officially an extended play, it was treated as a studio album when released. According to the RIAA, the EP has sold over five million copies in the United States alone. "Patience" was the only single released from Lies; it peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The first four tracks consist of the previously released EP "Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide." The last four songs were recorded with acoustic guitars. They were written and recorded in only a few studio sessions (with the exception of "You're Crazy," which appeared in an alternate version on "Appetite for Destruction") which producer Mike Clink called "one of those magical rock and roll history moments"...indeed. The cover art also bears a resemblance to John Lennon's "Sometime in New York City," an album that contains Lennon's controversial "Woman is the Nigger of the World"- a song Axl has cited when defending his use of the word "nigger" in "One in a Million". Coincidentally, half of  "Sometime in New York City" also contains "live" material recorded two years earlier. This is the Original 1988 US Vinyl Pressing on the Geffen label. Catalog # on the spine is: GHS 24198. Bar code matrix # is: 0 7599-24198-1 9. Numbers stamped in the dead wax side G is: GHS 24198-A-SR1-DMM. The word STERLING is also etched. Side R has: GHS-24198-B-SR1-DMM 1 OF 6. The word STERLING is also etched. Vinyl is graded visually by Goldmine standards as EX. Cover is also graded as EX. Still has plastic covering with original advisory sticker. Also contains original sleeve. Please see pictures. This is my original copy. As far as I know, there are no skips. It has been almost 30 years since I last played it. Shipped following business day as soon as payment is received. Media Mail ($6) will take at least 3 to 5 weeks due to being shipped by boat from Hawaii...not air!  Priority Mail is $11, not $7 from Hawaii. International bidders please contact.
