Gunter Hampel (born 31 August 1937) is a German jazz vibraphonist, clarinettist, saxophoneist, flautist, pianist and composer born in Gottingen, Germany, perhaps best known for his album "The 8th of July 1969" that included fellow musicians Anthony Braxton, Willem Breuker, and Jeanne Lee. Jeanne, now deceased, was Gunter's wife.
Hampel became dedicated to free-jazz in the 1960s, developing his own record label (Birth Records), and worked with a variety of artists over the years, including John McLaughlin, Laurie Allan, Udo Lindenberg, Pierre Coubois, and Perry Robinson. In the 1970s he also formed the "Galaxy Dream Band".
Boulou Ferré, born Jean-Jacques Ferret Paris on 24 April 1951 and Elios Ferré was born in December 1956 , are two guitarists jazz manouche French. They are the son of Jean-Pierre Ferret Matelo better known under the name Matelo Ferret youngest in a family of gypsy musicians . Boulou and Elios have an uncle and Baro Ferret Sarane that introduce them early on guitar and singing gypsies. They are a duo from 1979, and a trio with Michel Graillier and then Alain Jean-Marie. It is with their family they made their early learning. He was 12 years old, he was noticed when he accompanied Jean Ferrat and he recorded his first disc under the name Boulou. His reputation goes to the United States. In 1965, he participated in the Festival d'Antibes, where he played in the first part of the concert of John Coltrane. The second disc is Boulou recorded in 1966 with the Paris All Stars, a formation of Michel Gaudry, Andy Arpino, Maurice Vander, Dany Doriz Pierre Gossez, Emile Tight, Eddy Louiss Guy Boyer, Danielle Licari.
Boulou continued his career on stage and in the studio where he sings and plays guitar. Meanwhile, he studied with Olivier Messiaen, then started playing the electric guitar, along with Gunter Hampel and Takashi Kako while addressing classical music
