Description
One of the nicest things I've come across of late is this ultra scarce test pressing of music from Europe by the Gunter Hampel Group made I even more special as the front has a dedication to an acquaintance of Gunters called Franz along with a super little sketch and is signed and dated by the man himself.
Gunter Hampel as I have discovered is very much alive and living in Germany his music spans 6 decades in addition he is an accomplished artist - if you want to discover more about his music and art I encourage you check out his website and purchase one of his CDs DVDs or paintings he really is a most talented man and has been an influential free jazz musician from its very early days. I know he will watch this auction with interest :) happy bidding. As a mark of respect for this wonderful musician I have asked if he will nominate a charity and I shall be donating 25% of the final sale price of this item to them.
Regards the disc either Franz didn't own a record player or he just kept it just so as its in exceptional condition, to me it feels and has the weight of an acetate but as its double sided I'm not absolutely sure.
