Vanto and Northern German broadcasting sound have left a complete collection of Brahms at the studio recording in the early 1980s, but it is a different live recording. In the early 1990s, it was the golden age at the height of the Vanto, supernumerated with the explosive power and centripetal force of the mature years combined with the sublime spirituality of later years. Sound quality is wonderful and there is no impressive thing!
If one orchestra is aiming for "perfection", it is easy to think that the orchestra's performance is "cold" or "mediocre". Or if you say "passionate," "warm," or the like, it is easy to think that the performance is inaccurate and sloppy, but I think that I should refrain from thinking like that. "Perfection" and "passionate power" must be combined. (Günter Want)
