I knew a raise in rates was coming but I thought it would be a nominal increase, I had no idea they would raise the rates so high (some costs are double the old rate or more). Hackamore Brick were boho NYC Velvets fans who released their one and only LP, the superb "One Kiss Leads To Another", on Kama Sutra in 1970. Unjustly ignored in its day, the LP has been rediscovered and reissued (albeit only on CD) since. Before long, Hackamore Brick entered the studio to record this follow up single, which features an entirely reworked cover of the Coasters' "Searchin'" on the a-side-- the only song they ever recorded that wasn't on the LP-- with album track "Radio" gracing the flip. Unfortunately for music lovers, however, the group broke up before the single could be released, and the only copies in existence were the promo advances sent out to radio stations before the release was canceled.
