Description
HAL HOPPER "Wild Kisses" b/w "A Foolish Summer Love" on KEM Records #142 from 1958. This is THE copy pictured on the Rockin' Country Style site!!! This wild uptempo country rocker is a real delight. Fast and frenzied with howling screams and a nasty sax and fast bongos thrown into the mix. Tough to classify...Hal Hopper was a multi-talented man who made music, acted, and wrote sceenplays. He wrote the screenplay to SHALAKO (1968) which starred Sean Connery and he wrote the music score for the COLT .45 western TV show among other things. All KEM Records seem pretty rare, but I think this one tops the list and is the most over-the-top of any of the KEM records that I've ever heard.
Condition: This copy is the black vinyl version (I now own a red vinyl promo version) and as you can see in the scan is VG-- at best. The record plays fine on both sides with only some light scratches. The real problem is that the vinyl is cracked from the inner hole out to the end of the label area, but the good news is that the crack is not in the dead wax or grooves!!! If you go to the RCS site, you will see scans of both sides. The lame B-side has a huge label tear like from a huge sticker pull or something. This record plays fine and is worth the price to anyone that likes wild records that are fast and furious and have screams in them and weird sounds! I'll start the bid low to get this one going!
Shipping is $3.00 per 45rpm and will be packed well and shipped first class. Orders over $30 must add another $2.00 for Delivery Confirmation.
