Artist: ½ JAPANESE
Title: “1/2 Gentlemen / Not Beasts”
Label: ARMAGEDDON RECORDS. Three discs, stereo pressing on medium weight vinyl. Pink labels with black text. Catalog numbers are A-BOX-1.
Description: Very rare British 3-LP box set by 1/2 Japanese titled "1/2 Gentlemen Not Beasts." Contains material recorded 1977 - 1979. Released in 1980, this triple vinyl box set includes, in addition to the 3 discs, the following:
- giant poster (approx. 39" x 20")
- double sided (approx. 12" x 12") lyric sheet with drawings
- 20-page (approx. 6" x 9") booklet on heavy paper stock with photos.
Personnel:
JAD FAIR – guitar/singer/drum
DAVID FAIR – guitar/singer/drum etc.
Add Rick Dreyfuss – drum and John Dreyfuss – saxophone, on sides E and F).
Date: 1980.
Condition:
DISCS: Condition of all three discs is NEAR MINT with 100% of original gloss, as clean as can be found. Possibly unplayed. Labels are clean. Fidelity is superb. A gorgeous 3-disc set you will never need to upgrade.
BOX: EXCELLENT with no serious flaws. Artwork is clean and bright, with a few very slight touches of surface wear just beginning to appear along the right edge, nothing serious. Corners and seams are strong and nice. There is a factory sticker affixed to the front at the bottom right, with a listing of the contents. On the inside there are a few very light spots, otherwise pristine. Overall a beautiful example of this hard-to-find gem.
Note: The lyric sheet is excellent with no creases. There are a couple very light spots at the bottom center, otherwise clean.
