The Hamilton Face Band

Very Rare original US LP released on Philips Records in 1969. 1st US pressing.

These guys were originally from Long Is, NY. The music is a rather diverse collection of non-commercial rock. Some of it is semi-hard sounding, while a lot of the rest is difficult to classify. There does seem to be an element of self-indulgence here, though some of the mat'l has good period flavor. Drummer Ruth Romonoff would go onto Frank Zappa's Band, the Mothers & marry Ian Underwood, as you mentioned. She is featured in the finally soon to be released movie of Frank Zappa's "The Roxy" concert documentary, filmed in 1973.
