Description
We have come across a large collection of vintage promotional 45's and other apparently rare records from thirty - fourty years ago. They are from the estate of a TV/Movie Producer who had connections with MGM Records - a division of Metro Goldwyn Mayer Inc. Most are marked "Not for Sale" or "Promotional" or "Special Disc Jockey Record". They were all very well kept and stored - minty gloss in crispy sleeves. I am not a record guy so this may take time as I bumble through this research/listing process. Over the next several weeks, I will put up more as time allows. I will certainly answer any questions. I am sure I have left out information. So help me help you and ask away. This one is Hamilton Streetcar doing Flash and Invisible People on the LHI Records label. It is marked 17016, LHI, Madcap Music, Northern Music, Lee Hazlewood, Ralphe Plummer.
LHI Records was an American record label founded by Lee Hazlewood. LHI stood for 'Lee Hazlewood Industries'. The label was first distributed by Decca Records then by ABC Records (ironically, both labels would eventually be absorbed by MCA Records). In 1967, The International Submarine Band recorded Safe At Home for the label, which some consider to be the first country rock album.
