Description

Up for auction is a beautiful copy of the Hampton Hawes Quartet album "All Night Session! Vol. 1" released on Contemporary Records in 1956.  This copy is an original, deep groove, mono first pressing.  Fantastic recording of live jazz.  The cover is in almost-new shape.  Very few signs of previous use or handling.  Ever so slight ring rubbing in the upper middle, barely noticeable.  Seams are strong, no splits, no chipping or tears.  Graphics are bright.  Back cover is super clean, no writing, no ring wear or age discoloration.  Bone white with a glossy finish.  Nice.  Grade the cover Near Mint (NM).  Vinyl is equally nice, retaining its original high gloss sheen.  No obvious scratches or scuffs.  Labels clean and bright.  Comes in its original plastic bag inner sleeve.  Doesn't look like its been played more than once.  A very well-preserved record.  I would grade it Near Mint (NM).  I've play tested this record, and it sounds as clean as it looks.  It's not likely you'll come across a nicer copy of this original mono album.
