For auction is HAMPTON HAWES' "Four!" Contemporary C3553 MONO 1959. With Barney Kessel, Shelly Manne and Red Mitchell.
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides partially. It sounded brilliant, without a hint of background noise. From Discogs: "Recorded January 27, 1958 in Los Angeles. Technical data: 30-15,000 cycles. Multiple microphone technique featuring AKG C-12 condenser microphones. Ampex stereo tape recorder. Reeves Soundcraft tape. Mastering on Contemporary's specially designed electronically controlled, variable pitch lathe. Grampian feedback cutting head,heated stylus,inner diameter quality equalization,RIAA playback curve. Noise-free,vinylite "Gruve/Gard" pressing".  All you audiophiles get off on that? It's Greek to me, but the record sounds awesome!
Visually, the vinyl is VG+ or better, with no flaws to report. This record is deep-grooved on both sides.
The sleeve is NM-  with no flaws of note! It's clean, with solid seams and corners all around. Glossy cover and bright white reverse.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability. 
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
