Description

Haendel: Das Alexanderfest - Alexander's Feast or the Power of Music - concerto grosso in C. Donna Brown - soprano, Carolyn Watkinson - contralto, Ashley Stafford - countertenor, Nigel Robson - tenor, Stephen Varcoe - bass. Monteverdi Choir. English Baroque Soloists conducted by John Eliot Gardiner. Played on period instruments. Recorded live in Stadthalle Gottingen, June 13 & 14, 1987. Superb performance !!!
Label: Philips 422 053-1. White label sample copy so earliest pressing possible !! Cover has two small punch holes that indicates this came straight from the Philips/Phonogram archives where they marked sample copies this way. The vinyl of these two Dutch digital stereo LP is near mint. No booklet. VERY RARE !!!
