Description
The name this project goes under is HAPSHASH AND THE COLOURED COAT, which intimates a collaboration with those inventive artists famed for advertising psychedelic bands in the late sixties. This strange and wonderful musical excursion is purported to be a side-project by SPOOKY TOOTH who were briefly known as THE ART (for one classic piece 'Supernatural Fairy Tales' on Island Records) after their beat period as The VIP'S. The 'mystery backing band' go under the name "Heavy Metal Kids" (a name later used again for another group) Whatever and who-ever, the album is very representative of the latter 60's underground psych sound and hippy freaky beat. There's that paisley, oil-lamp and patchouli drenched style that suggested someone inhaled... and ingested! Well they're not running for president, so this record can't be held against them now ;>) On the UK LIBERTY RECORDS lable LBS 83212 from 1969, the stereo LP here is in STUNNING Near MINT condition, no marks but has been played (by me) and NO scuff or crackle. The cover is EX with just one small area of sticker removal (no stickyness or glue). There are NO marks Winning bidder please add 4pounds for postage in USA, international/insurance extra.
