Original 2026 1st pressing!
You are bidding on a brand new copy of the very rare 'Music for Stillness’ LP the AMAZING PORTLAND JAZZ EXTRAORDINAIRE ‘HARLAN SILVERMAN!' This is a super limited 1st 2026 pressing! This record is great and very needed!
Buy it and thank me later! TOTAL OVER-THE-TOP NEW-AGE JAZZ!
An album that really lives up to its title – as cellist Harlan Silverman mixes in all these wonderfully organic elements to his music – creating a vibe that's very natural, and very peaceful – while still having a subtle sort of spiritual power too! The vibe is maybe more a more stripped-down take on territory explored in recent years by artists like Carlos Nino or Miguel Atwood-Ferguson – with a quiet pulse, and other instrumentation that includes piano, wood flute, and percussion – used in a very open, echoey sort of space! Titles include "Ancient Memories", "Forever Green", "Across The River", "Bird Song", "Shadow In The Trees", and "Entrance To The Sanctuary"
Tracks are:
- Across The River
- Forever Green
- Ancient Memories
- Westerly
- Stillness Is Beautiful
- Entrance To The Sancuary
- Shadow In The Trees
- Bird Song
- Dreamscape
- A Sacred Place
