Description

"Basic Musical Library: Radio Transcription Disc produced by The Armed Forces Radio Service.  This disc was issued to radio stations for broadcast only and not available to the general public, very rare!

Disc is World War Two era, circa 1940's

Basic Musical Library program P-353 Harry James & His Orchestra.  Songs include "I Didn't Know About You" vocal Kitty Kallen, "The Very Thought Of You", "1160 PM" vocal Kitty Kallen, "Blue Lou"

Basic Musical Library program P-354 Betty Jane Bonney with Russell Case & Orchestra, Perry Como with Orchestra.  Songs include "They Can't Take That Away From Me" vocal Betty Jane Bonney, "While You're Away" vocal Betty Jane Bonney, "If I Loved" vocal Perry Como, "I'm Gonna Love That Gal" vocal Perry Como.  Betty Bonney would later change her professional name to Judy Johnson & go on to sing with many orchestras

Disc is in Excellent- condition with Excellent+ or better sound, beautiful disc.  There is a slight wobble in the disc that does not effect play

Please note that 16 inch transcription discs will not play on most standard turntables due to their size.  I will make a CD dub of the disc for the buyer only
