THIS PARTICULAR LP IT IS SAID WAS SOLD STRICTLY FROM HIS HOUSE SCARCE [ BOUGHT ABOUT 8 YEARS LATER ?ALSO INCLUDED BOOK LET GATE 5 RECORD PHOTOGRAPS OF INSTRUMENTS BUILT ' THIS WAS NOT PART OF RECORD GO WITH WHEN LP WAS MADE].ADDS MORE VALUE TO THIS PIECE. PICTURES OF 16 INSTRUMENTS :I HAVE READ HE MADE 25 ,AND ALSO SEVERAL OTHERS HE CHANGED OR MODIFIED.BRILLIANT ,IF NOT GENIUS . LAST ONE TURNED UP ABOUT 3 YEAR AGO? HARRY PARTCH 1901-1971 one of the greatest and most individualitic composers of all time ,was not only a great composer .but an innovative theorist who broke through the shackles of many centuries of one tuning system for all western music .His music embraced many sound s ,a music instrument inventor who created dozens of incredible instruments for the performance of his music.and a musical dramatist who created his own texts and dance /theatre extravaganza based on everything from greek mythology to his own experience as a hobo .between 1930 and 1972 ,he created one of the most amazing bodies of sensually alluring and emotional powerfull music of the 29th century:music dramas,dance theatre ,multi- media extravaganzas.he essentially competed not only against other music mannerisms , I think he competed against hisself as well .vocal music and chamber music mostly all performed on the instruments he built himself.
