IMPORTANT NEW INFORMATION!!!!

I cleaned the record on a NITTY GRITTY Record Cleaning Machine yesterday. I will play test it tonight.

PLUS!!!!!!

I discovered a six page BOOKLET inside the cover!! I never noticed it before. I'm selling this for a friend and he never told me about the BOOKLET.

The booket is dated March 17, 1962 and it was at the Studebaker Theater at the University of Illinois. That is when the recording was made except for the last excerpt "Rotate The Body In All Its Planes - Music For An Exhibition Of Gymnasts" which was recorded on April 1961 at the NCAA Gymnastics Meet also at the University of Illinois.

I just took photos and will put that in the auction in a few minutes.

The record was cleaned on a Nitty Gritty Machine. The vinyl is shinier now. It looks VG++ under a bright halogen light....maybe VG+++...It looks good though...There is occasional surface noise but it plays great and you get totally absorbed into the music and words.

I listened to it with a group of friends last night and everybody was transfixed and amazed by the performance. This is truly a fantastic record and we were all sitting around discussing how interesting and unusual it is. Plus sometimes it made us laugh.

I'm selling this for a friend because he needs the money. Otherwise, if this was my record, I would never sell it. I'm going to make a cassette copy for so I can play it for other friends in the future.

I think this is one of the rarest Harry Partch records. I've checked popsike and it hasn't sold on eBay in the past few years.
