You are looking at an auction for a very VERY rare ORIGINAL DEBUT LP (in INCREDIBLE condition!!!!) It’s a 1970 1st UK pressing of Hawkwind’s classic ‘Hawkwind’ THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE LP - ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION!!!! THIS IS ALSO THE COMPLETE AND ORIGINAL UK ISSUE SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! Now 34 years old, released in 1970 on the LIBERTY label and in STUNNING condition!!!! The record is pressed on great quality vinyl. All the tracks are pure quality, the progressive psychedelic space rock of early Hawkwind at its very best – a must have for serious fans of this band – especially this rare first pressing!!!!

RECORD CONDITION:

This record has remained after all these years in quite immaculate condition and has to grade as an EXCELLENT if not something better!! It has a dark, gleaming sheen and a general feel of substance and quality. There are no bad marks or scratches, there are no marks on the label and overall it's a record that looks absolutely pristine. A very close visual inspection under a strong light bulb reveals a few light paper scuffs and paper rub marks, these are not serious and do not effect the quality of the sound, they are a minor point although they are the primary factor in my grade. The spindle wear gives the impression of a very small amount of plays, definitely less than ten, while the superb audio clarity would appear to back up this theory. The run in grooves are close to silent, between the tracks I picked up a couple of faint light crackles and during the whole album I can recall hearing only the very occasional light pop and a little light but un-intrusive surface noise in a few places, certainly nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music. In essence, this is a record that has definitely been handled with care.

COVER CONDITION:

This is a stunning, colourful gatefold sleeve that has to also grade as a very strong EXCELLENT!! The cover is fully intact without any un-sticking and it doesn’t display any bad marks or blemishes. The whole piece, both front, back and inside has bright clean and un-faded colours printed on an undamaged surface that has nothing more than one or two of the faintest kind of small creases. Likewise, the top and bottom edges are in good shape apart from a little of the lightest, early stage, scuffing effect and the spine remains firm with legible text, there’s only a couple of small faint creases here. This sleeve does not have any ring-wear. Overall, this is a supremely well maintained old album cover that has only the smallest areas of wear and age, a nice piece.
