The quintessential Space rock album. Powerful,spacey ,epic-a must for any Spaceprog rock collector! "Warrior" finds Hawkwind at the absolute zenith of their creative trajectory,in complete control of the progressive rock genre they pioneered. Aside from capturing the band's Space rock formula at it's most fully evolved, the album also documents its strongest line-up of musicnauts ever. The album also showcases bandleader Brock's most lucid and evocative lyric work to date ( check out "Magnu" and the "Assault & Battery/ Golden Void" block-arguably the finest ten minutes in ALL of Space rock history ).Taken on whole ,the power, majesty and epic sweep of "Warrior" is the sonic equivalent of a Frank Frazetta  painting....

Warrior on the Edge of Time is Hawkwind's fifth studio album. It reached number 13 on the UK album charts and was their third and last album to make the US Billboard chart, where it peaked at number 150. Many of the lyrics are by Michael Moorcock and the album is loosely based on the concept of Moorcock's Eternal Champion.

Having recruited a second drummer, Alan Powell, this album's line-up was short-lived. Soon after the album's release, bassist Lemmy was sacked and vocalist Robert Calvert rejoined by the end of the year.

 Gatefold Sleeve:  NM. Absolutely stunning sleeve that looks like it was just bought over the counter!!!  The pictures tell all!!! For a matt sleeve it is amazing to have survived nearly 40 years in such immaculate condition. This album is in true "timewarp" condition and cannot be faulted on any aspect. NO wear, not even any edgewear. This is the ultimate upgrade for the serious collector!!!

Vinyl: EX++ to NM . A lovely vinyl with only light sleeve retraction wispy hairlines only visible under a very bright light.  I doubt wether it has been played than maybe just once or twice. I have played this through all the way and I am glad to report that the audio is stunning throughout. Great progressive space rock by these pros, even at the time when experimentation was at an all time high! This just stood out over all the rest! Of course, NO skips, NO jumps, NO ticks.

Inner sleeve: EX+. Again .. immaculate, there is, however, an owner's name written to the bottom of one side. Still, this does not take away from the gorgeous condition. Indeed it looks as if it was bought yesterday. NO creases, NO wear!!!
