AMNESTY HOUSE
Five Song Reel-To-Reel Demo "7 1/2 IPS RECORDING FOR MARK ALLEN SHOW"
with BONUS hand-typed and hand-written band bio.
Sony Professional Recording Tape SLH-180 (7 1/2 IPS Stereo)
CONDITION: Tape plays without any problems. The original box is in VG+ condition, with the original Sony tape price sticker still on the front.
The one-of-a-kind insert was folded by the band members, to fit inside the box.
Click here to listen to a sample of several tracks, including part of the ASTERIK Commercial.
One of a kind original tape of unreleased tracks, by this super-obscure Pennsylvania psychedelic band.
Unlike many "scam" bands whose tapes have supposedly turned up in thrift stores, this one is for real.
These are demos that they recorded in 1972, for an independent Pittsburgh rock station.
I don't know if Mark Allen ever played them on the air, but he should have!
I came into possession of two different Amnesty House demo tapes, and both are up for auction this week.
Like the other tape, there's some psych guitar on here... but some of the songs have more of a rural vibe.
The radio spot for Asterik Studios, with the band jamming in the background, is a nice bonus, as is the bio sheet
that is enclosed. One side is typewritten with info on the band and some of the songs.
Turn it over for some hand-written info about three members of the band.
Please note: this is not a record. It is an original reel-to-reel tape.
Since not everyone has a reel-to-reel player, I can provide a free CD of the full-length songs to the winner, upon request.
That offer applies to the winner only. Any other requests for a CD will be ignored.
Includes the following:
- ASTERIK COMMERCIAL
- PSALM 58
- WHITE SNOW
- WON'T YOU COME ALONG
- RAIN

Important note: More and more packages sent overseas are getting hung up
in customs. It is not unusual for some packages to take 6-8 weeks to reach buyers,
even though they're being sent out within a day or two of payment.
Germany, France, Italy, Greece, and Australia have all reported longer than
usual customs delays. Please be patient -- I mail packages out very quickly,
but the rest is up to the postal service!
