RECORD CONDITION: BOTH SIDES ARE NM. BEAUTIFUL SHINE TO EACH SIDE. UNPLAYED LOOK. COVER IS ALSO NM WITH OBI. EXCELLENT CONDITION. ALL CORNERS AND SEAMS INTACT. MINOR WEAR ON SEAMS. MINOR CREASE IN TOP LEFT CORNER (SEE PHOTO). ORIGINAL INSERT INCLUDED. BEAUTIFUL LAMINATED COVER PHOTO. ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE.
ITEM INFORMATION: A rare LP, very difficult to find. Album is both a tribute to George Gershwin and Charlie Parker. Merrill performs eight of the former's songs, a couple of which became Bird tunes with new melody lines ("Embraceable You" is transformed into "Quasimodo," while "I Got Rhythm" becomes "Chasin' the Bird"). Baritonist Pepper Adams, guitarist Joe Puma, bassist Rufus Reid and drummer Mel Lewis join Katz in the quintet, and throughout, Merrill is heard in prime form.

I am a 30-year collector of great classical, jazz, soundtracks and rock records. I started in late 2008 with a sale of a limited number of the best items in my collections. This is my tenth sale in 2010. These records will be of the highest quality and desirability. Expect to bid on rare LP’s of Furtwangler, Bernard Herrmann, string and piano artists and jazz artists. Many fine TAS-listed or TAS-type audiophile records will be included as well. At this time I can not take wish-list items, but please add me to your favorites list for upcoming offerings.
GRADING: Sealed LP’s are noted in their description. I grade by both visual inspection and play. Mint is not used. Near Mint is my highest grade. VG++ and Near Mint should play problem free; VG+ should play problem free or with noted shortcomings noted in write-up. My description will be accurate. All items guaranteed, but I do not refund shipping costs.
I request that payment be made through PayPal only. Contact me via eBay mail if not possible. My items have no reserve. I ship worldwide and will combine winning bids to save on postage. I recommend all items that sell at $100.00 plus be shipped insured. Because of the value of some items, I may at my discretion require insurance. After bid closing, insurance amount will be calculated and then added to shipping fees reflecting in your invoice.

FREQUENTCY OF SHIPPING: I do try and ship as quickly as I can, but sometimes it can take a week or so to send items out, depending on how many orders I have. Note that media mail can take three weeks from when I receive payment.
