Description
An early deepgroove original mono pressing of Helen Merrill's second album entitled Helen Merril with Strings. Helen performs with Hank Jones, Milt Hilton, Sol Gubin and Barry Galbraith and an orchestra conducted by Richard Haymen. Songs are Lilac Wine, Anything Goes, Mountain High, Valley Low, Beautiful Love, Comes Love, Endo of A Love Affair, When I Fall IN Love, The Masquerade is Over, Just You, Just Me, Sring Will Be a Little Late This Year, You Won't Fporget Me and Wait Till You See Him. Emarcy MG-36057.
The heavy cardboard jacket has splits on both the top and bottom seams in different locations. The rear of the jacket shows some soiling and has a sticker removal tear at the top center of the jacket. The record is clean and plays great. There are a few scuffs or marks on the record which don't sound when played with my mono cartridge. I rate the record a strong VG++/EX__
This record is from my personal collection of Jazz LP's collected/accumulated over the last 50 plus years, which I'm starting to sell. Lots of gems in the collection and some dogs as well.
I try to grade records accurately. Most records are play graded. I will list in the description any obvious flaws or defects. I play all of the mono records listed using a Miyabe mono cartridge on a Oracle turntable with a Grahm 2.5 arm. I find that mono records with some surface marks generally play fine when played with my mono cartridge. Not necessarily the case when played on my other table with a stereo cartridge. So, for the mono records, keep in mind they have been played using a mono cartridge and the report or description is based upon how they play on my table with a mono cartridge.
Quoted shipping in the domestic U.S. is by Media Mail. Quoted international shipping is by USPS first class international mail. Heavier packages must be shipped by USPS International Priority mail. I prefer to combine shipping to save costs. All shipping will be quoted at the end of the listing(s). Records are shipped in heavy cardboard mailers designed specifically for LP's with bubble wrap or cardboard inserts for protection.
If you aren't happy or satisfied with a purchase, you can return the record for a refund of the full purchase price (less shipping).
Ebay demands that all records be shipped within a specified time after payment. If you want a record held for future shipping, please email me so I know that is your intention. I will work with you on delayed payment and shipping so we don't run afoul of ebay's requirements.
