B: SOUL BROTHERS - Jamaica Shake
[-blank-, CS 03 1 / CS 04 1, UK]
EXTREMELY RARE original UK white label blank which features the fairly unknown but superior EARLY VERSION of "Ting-A-Ling" from 1967 and on the b-side there's an uptempo POUNDING ska instrumental called "Jamaica Shake" (which also was issued on the b-side of the original jamaican blank of "Ting-A-Ling"). This is the ONLY WAY this early version of "Ting-A-Ling" was issued in the UK (the later, more well known version DID get a release on Coxsone). "Jamaica Shake" wasn't released in the UK in any other way apart from this white label blank.
There was a whole series of these white label UK blanks pressed by Direct Records, and some seems to have overlapped with the early UK Studio 1 and Coxsone releases and some tracks also came out on those labels, but this version of "Ting-A-Ling" and "Jamaica Shake" didn't. This item is in amazing M- condition!
