Herb Alpert ~ Rise ~ A&M Half Speed Original Master Recording LP on TELDEC Virgin Vinyl Condition: NEW & FACTORY SEALED w/ TELDEC Sticker
If you like R&B vocals with vibrant smooth jazz, maybe bought other Joe Sample, Crusaders, Yellow Jackets LP, you will love this recording. There is not better version of this recording on vinyl. Treasured my other copy for years and am no willing to give up my back-up, just-in-case copy.
Note: There is no better, more sonically accurate version. I suspect the reason this pressing outperforms the MFSL is that Alpert knew this recording better than anyone, how it was supposed to sound, and did everything to make his personal recording achieved perfection including his A&M (A for Alpert) Audiophile team were given the budget and latitude to produce world class recordings by partnering with the best. It is one reason audiophiles see a number of A&M Audiophile Releases also done on Mobile Fidelity including this one and this one is superior. You might just find some of the same names on both production and manufacturing lists.
- LPs are not play graded! I do not play grade for two reasons: First, every TT stylus tracks and plays differently, thus, what you hear and I hear are most likely different. Second, under the same lighting and assuming 20/20 vision, we see the same thing.
- LP are visually graded under a bright 100W or greater bulb. So please do not hold me accountable for play grade given this and my commitment to providing an accurate visual grade.
- Occasionally, I may miss something. If I do, please let me know and let's work it out.
