HERBIE MANN & CHARLIE ROUSE – JUST WAILIN’ – PRESTIGE NEW JAZZ 8211 VG+ - MONO Recorded on February 14, 1958 at the Van Gelder Studio, this Prestige New Jazz session features Herbie Mann on flute, Charlie Rouse on tenor, Kenny Burrell on guitar, Mal Waldron on piano, George Joyner on bass and Art Taylor on drums. SIDE A: MINOR GROOVE; BLUE ECHO and BLUE DIP. SIDE B: GOSPEL TRUTH; JUMPIN’ WITH SYMPHONY SID and TRINIDAD. The initial “RVG” are stamped in the blank vinyl on SIDE B. This is a MONO recording.
I have rated this LP as VG+ due to the following reasons. The vinyl is clean on any marks on both sides. There is no sign of wear in the spindle hole on either side. There are a few marks on the label. The LP is given a M- rating. The record jacket is in good to excellent condition, with the exception of a small taped seam on the top and a slightly larger one on the spine. There is a red “RV” stamped on the liner notes.
