Description

HI-FI PICK:
Great Cathedral Organ Series –
WESTMINSTER CATHEDRAL –
EMI Odeon CSD 3648 –
UK Pressing

This is from EMI’s esteemed series of Organs at Great Cathedrals, this one featuring the fine organ at Westminster.  (A four-manual, CC to C, 61 notes, and a “Willis” pedalboard, CCC to G, 32 notes.)

To demonstrate the organ’s abilities, organist Nicolas Kynaston plays Franck CHORALE No. 3 and PASTORALE, Vierne CARILLON DE WESTMINSTER, and Messiaen COMBAT DE LA MORT ET DE LA VIE.

A fine LP prize of organ, in a laminated jacket without fault, just has an ink note on back. Inside, is the original heavy-platter Odeon, pressed in the UK, in near-mint playing condition.

For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.

Shipping and handling is $4 for a single LP shipped within the States; $1 for each additional LP. Internationally, $22.50 via airmail for the first LP, $4 each thereafter. (Canada is $15.50; $3 each additional.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
