Hello and Welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE/ARTIST: "High Atmosphere" by Various Artists recorded and compiled by John Cohen on the Rounder Records label (RR 0028) in vintage original sound, issued in 1974.
CONDITION OF VINYL: Near Mint(Vinyl is glowing and beautiful, with a couple of light paper scuffs - graded visually using special daylight balanced spotlight). CONDITION OF JACKET: VG+(Jacket is dinged on the corners, worn on some edges, showing its age (kinda like the great artists on this record) - please see photos of actual album offered).
SPECIAL FEATURES: Very rare Rounder Records original issue of an absolutely astounding collection of mountain ballads and banjo tunes from North Carolina and Virginia, collected by NLCR member John Cohen in November of 1965. Excellent condition. A huge bonus is this: A 12-Page Booklet is enclosed, featuring beautiful black & white photos by Cohen, plus song lyrics and song-by-song recording information. The booklet is in VG++ condition too, with only light age wear. Believe me, this offering is VERY special indeed.

SPECIAL NOTES: All of our albums are visually graded, but we will gladly play them to confirm condition. Please email us if you would like that service. RATING SYSTEM: New (sealed in original wrap); Near Mint (very light wear and uniform glossy vinyl appearance; one or two light rubs on jacket surface or corner); VG++ (light wear that is visible but not audible; light wear to jacket edges or corners); VG+ (many marks on record surface that are lightly audible during quiet passages; small splits, marks, or tears on jacket); VG (surface covered with light scuffs or marks that are audible during all but loudest passages; jacket extensively marked, split, or torn: note: we only sell this grade on very rare records).
